Falsterbo Own Design Winner
During Falsterbo Horse Show 2024, we held a competition where visitors got to design their dream breeches. The winner had their design realized and sent home, a completely unique pair of breeches created from their own idea.
Now we look back at the competition and the questions we asked the winner, Lina, during 2025.
Tell us a little about yourself and your horse.
My name is Lina, I am 25 years old, and I have always loved both horses and color. My horse’s name is Lady Liberty and she comes from the USA. She is a 13-year-old gray mare and we live together in Skåne.
Our discipline is of course show jumping, which is also what we compete in the most. At the same time, we like to try new things and explore equestrian sports together. We have trained WE, eventing, dressage, and some cross-country. A few days a week, we like to ride out and enjoy nature together.
Lady is a very special horse with a lot of will. She always supports me and was also a big part of the inspiration behind the breeches.
What was the idea behind the design of your breeches?
I have made many different designs, so it was hard to choose one. The idea behind these breeches was to bring more color into the competition life. Color has always given me joy, and that joy usually spreads further.
The pattern reminds me of feathers, and that’s kind of how I feel when I ride, like I’m floating or flying. Orange is my and Lady’s competition color, and that’s why the breeches got that color. Put all this together and you get my and Lady’s personality.
Do you have any other favorite garment from ZacZess?
This question was really hard because I love all your garments. But some favorites are the Ohio Riding Leggings in the colors Rusty Orange and Emerald. I also like the Etna Zip Shirt Black.
Is there anything else you want to share?
The only thing I would like to add is that I love competitions like this and hope you do more. For example, it would have been really fun to have a matching jacket to the breeches.
Your riding Leggings and breeches have helped me in riding and make my seat so much steadier. Thank you for giving me the chance to actually see my own design in reality.
